Our Story

Provence Calling

Rosé was always at the heart of Jeany and Stephen's story. In 2009, they swapped London for the Provençal village of Cotignac, chasing a dream of more sunshine, community and exceptional rosé. With young children in tow, they embraced a new way of life, immersing themselves in the simple pleasures of the South of France. With no winemaking experience but plenty of determination, they built Maison Mirabeau around one simple belief: great rosé is made to be shared. Today, their wines are enjoyed around the world, celebrating the lifestyle and free spirit of Provence. Driven by a desire to give back, they have also become passionate advocates for regenerative viticulture, helping to build a more resilient future for Provence's vineyards.

How we work

Rosé is all about care. It's delicate and reactive, so every small decision shapes what's in the glass. That's why great rosé starts with dedicated people, from growers and vineyard teams to our creative winemaker who brings each vintage to life.

We've always worked with passionate vintners across Provence who share our belief that exceptional wine begins with healthy vineyards and carefully tended fruit. From there, every step in the cellar matters. Contrary to what many think, rosé is one of the most challenging wines to make, demanding precision, patience and attention to detail.

Then comes our favourite part: the art of blending, or l'assemblage in French. Like a perfumer creating a signature scent, we bring together different wines to create something distinctive, balanced and full of personality. Because great rosé doesn't happen by chance- it takes dedication, expertise and strong partnerships at every stage to make the magic.
